An article in The Tablet, 11/10/14 on the report that shows we have lost 50% of the world's wildlife in the last 40 years. We have all noticed it - those of us over a certain age. Fewer moths, hedgehogs, insects splattered on the windscreen, flocks of starlings and so on. Also less big animals in Africa, wolves in America, migrating songbirds. We know it but let it happen, why I wonder? Climate change is the headline grabber - and it is vitally important - but we can't live on an impoverished world no matter what we do with carbon.
