Paul Evans is a writer, broadcaster and naturalist, I have worked with him on Radio 4. he writes beautifully and from the heart - but in an intelligent and clear-cut way. He was described recently as the best nature writer around today - quite an accolade. This is an article for Resurgence magazine on the tendency to think about nature as "ecosystem services," or "nature capital," etc. A quick, easy read but with a profound point.
